Find nearby movies and showtimes. These are the tools I use to quickly find all of the movies playing in area theaters. I certainly have one go-to theater, but I still use these tools to check showtimes. I usually print my tickets from home so that I'm guaranteed a seat, and I don't have to wait in any lines. Also don't forget to grab reservations for dinner so that you aren't late for the movie!

Local movie theaters - This tool from Google recognizes my location and automatically give me the listings of movies playing in my area. They conveniently list the theaters from closest to farthest away.

Search by zip code - I enter my zip code or city where I want to see a movie and Bing gives me listings for all of the local theaters and movies playing there.

Another option - After quickly customizing the site, Moviefone remembers my location and allows me to save a list of the theaters in my area.

Buy my movie tickets - Fandango has relationships with some of the largest movie theater chains (AMC Lowes, etc.). I buy tickets here most often.

Dinner Reservations - I often grab dinner before or after the movie. Once I know the area where I'm seeing the movie, I can enter the same zip or town into OpenTable and find restaurants with availability based on the showtime

Directions - When I'm trying out a new theater, or need to find the quickest route from a new restaurant, I use Google Maps. It also has a great feature that let's me estimate the cost and time of a trip using local area public transportation options.
